WHY WE EXIST
A student’s education is bigger than the school day.
The experiences students have beyond the traditional classroom can help them discover their interests, build confidence, develop relationships, explore future possibilities, and find a sense of belonging.
The Tacoma Education Dream Fund was created to help expand access to those opportunities for students across Tacoma Public Schools.
As the official foundation for Tacoma Public Schools, we connect the district, community partners, and philanthropy to help make more opportunities possible for Tacoma students.

Tacoma Public Schools serves thousands of students with different interests, talents, dreams, and goals.
The community around those students has resources, ideas, expertise, and a desire to help.
The Tacoma Education Dream Fund was created to help connect those two things, because supporting students is a community effort.
Founded in 2024, the Dream Fund became the official foundation for Tacoma Public Schools, creating a dedicated philanthropic partner focused on building community investment in opportunities for students.
Our role is bigger than simply raising money. We are building the relationships, systems, partnerships, and philanthropic support that can help Tacoma students access more opportunities today while creating a stronger foundation for tomorrow.
BUILDING THE FOUNDATION
The Dream Fund is young.
That is an important part of our story.
Founded in 2024, we are still building the organization that will allow us to serve Tacoma students for generations to come.
That means building relationships with donors and community partners. Building the systems, infrastructure, and capacity needed to steward resources well. And building a strong and sustainable philanthropic community around Tacoma Public Schools.
As our capacity grows, so will our ability to open doors.
We may be early in our story, but the vision is long-term.
We’re building the foundation today so Tacoma students can have more opportunities tomorrow.
